Character name: Audfrith Tyrsdotter (She does not call herself Tyrsdotter: it is what her foster father called her, and she has become known as that, when people have heard of her. But she does not self-proclaim it.)

Please list your racial weaknesses
> the human condition, haha. As a Norse human, she has a sense of duty.
- a bit cold-hearted, according to some.
What are your characters weaknesses?
>
- she is a single female with no household skills; she does not cook, she cannot really garden, and she has no real animal husbandry skills. She does not weave or sew fine clothing or embroidery, as other women do. It is going to be difficult for her to find work that is NOT a fighter for hire position, but she does not know that yet. This could count as social stigma in some areas.
- she is distrustful of others until she gets to know them.
- she is hard on the surface. This can make people dislike her instantly, without really knowing why. Her “charisma” or “fast-talk” is not so good. She's pretty enough, but she's no beauty, and her tough personality doesn't help.
- her reputation is both an advantage and a disadvantage; she is known as a mercenary, but a good fighter. This might interfere with her ability to settle down and not be bothered.
- she has a sense of humor that is often seen as derogatory or sarcastic, as she spent a lot of time in camps.
- she does not lie well, and it is not in her to be really devious. She can be easy to read.

> - strong, well-trained fighter in the Norse “viking” tradition
- hard-edged, to do what must be done
What are your character strengths and skills? (i.e run fast, weaving, tanning, hard to poison) ?
> - she has a high dexterity, pretty high strength, and a good constitution
- she is good with balanced weapons
- she can track and hunt and fish; outdoor skills. She also sews her own pelted clothes.
- she makes rhymes and poems. She is not good at remembering them, so she is not a very good bard, but she does make them up quickly around camp. But this is more to do with her sense of humor than with her talent. She does not play any musical instruments, as stealth has been important to her mercenary tracking work.
We allow two weapon choices to start with here in Skarvald.
What types of weapons is your character proficient with?
> - short sword and staff/throwing spear. If you consider a staff a different weapon from a spear, then count the spear, due to “viking” background and training.
- She lacks skills with a long sword, with two-handed swords, and with bow and arrows. She is also learning how to use the shield as a weapon, but she is not very good at it yet. She cannot really handle an ax very well, since she is better with balanced weapons.
Do you think you will join a guild? If so, which one does your character lean towards?
> Audfrith wants to just be a simple merchant, but she knows that she is a good fighter with a sense of duty, so she would join a guild that would be like an army reserve for the Jarl.

Do you want a character job on the sim? if so, what would they be good at?
> I would like to have one, but I am afraid to make a time commitment at present. I am learning German in real, and I only have 2-3 hours a week to commit. Audfrith would like to be an apprentice to a farmer or a blacksmith, but unless she gets on like that, she would be a trapper and sell pelts and fur clothing that she makes.
What is your characters alignment? (ie, good, bad, neutral.)
> She is chaotic good. She believes strongly that Odin's will happens, no matter what people attempt to do, so she seems pretty cold and unfeeling on the surface.
Character back story.
Tell us about your character, around two paragraphs is perfect.
> Audfrith's parents were killed in a raid on her village when she was nine. She was rescued by one of the marauders and lived with his family, traveling with him for his mercenary duties (reasons why are more complex). When he was killed, she went on a vengeance quest to find her parents' killers; she did. She killed the man and recovered her father's sword, which she has still not learned how to use adequately. That was last year. She now seeks a simple life, but does not know how to find it.
