Audfrith was working around the Guild Merchant Master's cabin when she heard someone approaching. She quickly hid inside one of the large vases in the back room and pulled the lid over her head. Someone walked in with a strange gait, and when she peeked out of the urn, she saw what looked like a man made from a tree standing not very far away from her.
[07:00] Merchant Office Gossip whispers: The fire outside is still warm. The new Carpenter has been seen in and out of the building today. [07:00] Audfrith (emmiedee): Audfrith peeks out to see who is there [07:12] Sequoyah (vlosh.troncon) jumps with suprise at seeing the pretty woman here [07:12] Sequoyah (vlosh.troncon): "Hej! I did not notice you come in. Hope I'm not intruding [07:14] Audfrith (emmiedee): "Sire, ye best be on yer way! It be against the law fer ye to be here! The false king's men will hae ye chopped to bits!" Aud exclaimed as she jumped out of the pot she had been hiding in. "Who be ye?" she asked, then looking him over, "and uh.. WHAT be ye?" [07:15] Sequoyah (vlosh.troncon): I am an Ent, a very small Ent but I assure you that nobody will chop me into anything. I can defend myself [07:15] Sequoyah (vlosh.troncon): My name is Sequoyah. I was just wandering through these parts helping the trees when I saw this building. Sorry if I intruded. [07:16] Audfrith (emmiedee): Aud continued to be surprised as the tree-man began to talk. She shook it off to reply. "No worries, no intrusion, friend. But in these parts now not to be human is to be dead. Trublut's men be all around," she tried to explain. [07:17] Sequoyah (vlosh.troncon): "I fear them not but I need to be on my way anyway. I shall soon blend into the trees and will not be noticed. [07:18] Sequoyah (vlosh.troncon): Before I do, what is your name, pretty lady? [07:18] Audfrith (emmiedee): Aud blushed at the complement. "I be Audfrith, sire. I be the tanner here in Skarvald." She continued, "Ye be welcome here under the real king, so please do come back," Aud encouraged him. We be tryin now to get a resistance up." [07:19] Sequoyah (vlosh.troncon): "Well met Audfrith. You can tan my hide anytime you want. [07:32] Audfrith (emmiedee): Aud heard another sound outside. She looked carefully to see what it was. [07:32] Yeshi-va knocks on the door ever so gently. Standing outside she looks around in hopes no one would spot her..As the door opens she cracks a smile to see her old friend Audfrith... [07:33] Audfrith (emmiedee): "Yeshiva!" Aud said, relieved. It had been so long since she had seen her old friend. "How be ye? Be ye safe?" [07:35] Yeshi-va takes a good look at her.." Audfrith...I dont think I recall seeing you in a dress...You look wonderful." She smiled gently. It had been a long time indeed. " I am well my friend." she stepped closer to her and opened her arms, hugging her. " Im so glad to see you!" "I be in disguise," she smiled. "Trueblut's men do nae seem to recognize me like this," she explained. "Sigi did me hair... and this be me old good dress," "And thank ye, ye look beautiful and stunning," she said. [07:43] Yeshi-va smiled at her. " Thank you... I must say thats great thinking...Sigrid did a wonderful work..." she observed her. " I´m also glad i was not spotted on my way here...Tell me, I´ve been away for so long, could you give me an update here? News do not reach the temple these days." she said looking down. [07:45] Audfrith (emmiedee): "Well, there be a rising of the resistance. I be in the market taday to see who be on what sides. Me friend from me old village, Leif, be stayin here in the cabin. When ye see him, tell him ye know me," Aud said. "He helped me find some money for the king to help him raise more troops. That be what we be don the other night when ye came by. It be terrible dangerous work, fer Trueblut did nae know about the treasure." [07:52] Yeshi-va raised an eyebrow..." That is excellent news. Im sure the Oracle will want to know of this....Have you any news about Gamblin?" She asked with a worried expression on her face. [07:54] Audfrith (emmiedee): Aud's expression turned dark. "In the market taday, I heered that Gamblin be in the prison. And Faeth auch be there w'him. And we know not hae many more." Aud turned to her friend with concern. "I hae no plan fer it, and I be ready to help with anything to get back to normal here," Aud finished. [08:00] Yeshi-va sighs..."We may need to figure something out for ourselves. They cant stay in there any longer. I know how they must be feeling....I know..." She recalls all the days she had to live in that cell, when the vampire queen was still alive. [08:02] Audfrith (emmiedee): Aud saw her friend's expression change, and she realized that she had forgotten Yeshiva's time in that prison. "Ohhh," she started, "sorry to forget... I can nae imagine bein in tha kind o' cell. And ja, must we start to work on a plan..." Aud trailed off, realizing how late it was getting. "I must meself check in w' a few other merchants taday. Be ye around later?" Aud asked her friend. [08:06] Yeshi-va nodded to her with a soft smile. " I too must return to the temple...Be safe my friend. I shall come back later on." she bowed to her gracefully. [08:07] Audfrith (emmiedee): "Please take care on yer journey," Aud wished her friend. She saw the halo of protection around her and felt that she would be alright. [08:08] Yeshi-va smiled and bowed once more and left. [08:08] Door: Luriana23 Resident is at the door. |
