Aud meets the townsfolk

[11:09] Ravner Vonner : fenrick barks at the new person [11:09] Audfrith : Greetings, small one [11:10] Ravner Vonner : Fenrick sniffs at the person [11:10] Audfrith eyes the fox carefully, seeming to see how much its fur would be worth... [11:11] Ravner Vonner : Fenrick looks up at her and wags his tail liking to meet new people [11:12] Audfrith : You're a pretty one, aren't you?  I've never seen such an intelligent looking animal. [11:12] Ravner Vonner : Fenrick barks proudly and licks her hand [11:12] Audfrith tries to hide the pelts in her pack from the animal's sight [11:13] Audfrith : "are you here alone, foxy?  I should set up my wares." [11:14] Ravner Vonner : Fenrick barks and nods his head and looking around [11:15] Audfrith : "You really are a smart one, aren't you?  Maybe you will give me a new understanding of foxes.  Just stay out of my traps, and we'll probably get along fine."   Audfrith smiles. [11:16] Ravner Vonner : Fenrick barks happily hoping none of his friends were killed as he looks at her [11:24] Audfrith laughs at the wonderous fox. [11:24] Ravner Vonner : Fenrick rolls around on his bark wanting belly rubs [11:25] Audfrith : "oooh, does the foxy want a belly rub?"   Audfrith attempts to bend closer to the animal to see how it reacts. [11:25] Ravner Vonner : Fenrick barks and wags his tail [11:26] Audfrith : Audfrith continues to chance her luck, starting to rub the fox's belly as she keeps a careful eye on his mouth... [11:27] Ravner Vonner : Fenrick makes cute noises as he is petted and rolls around more happy [11:28] Audfrith : "You are some special fox, little one.  Perhaps we can be friends.  I will try to trap more squirrels instead, would you like that?"   Audfrith laughs at the idea that she is talking to a fox. [11:28] Ravner Vonner : Fenrick barks in a provel and licks her face [11:35] Audfrith drinks her ale and watches the fox roll around happily in the snow.   "Have you had ale to drink too, foxy?" [11:35] Ravner Vonner : Fenrick tilts his head confused [11:37] Audfrith : "Ah, looks like you want some, little one, but I will not be that bad influence on you!"   Audfrith laughs. [11:37] Ravner Vonner : Fenrick was confused not knowing that that was as he never had that [11:41] Audfrith : Audfrith begins setting up her wares, pulling the skins and pelts from her bag.   "Sorry to upset you, little foxy, but I have a living to earn, one way or another," Audfrith says, decidedly.   "If it is not longer to be in the killing of humans, it must perhaps be in the killing of other animals."   She straightens the nap on the rabbit vest she sewed, glad that no one is around to hear her but the fox. [11:42] Ravner Vonner : Fenrick sniffed at the pelts and looked at her confused wondering what she ment about killing people. [11:44] Audfrith : "They say cats have nine lives, and I feel that I have had at least three already.  How many lives do foxies have, little one?"   Audfrith brushes the snow from the display, wishing the fox could talk, then shaking her head at such a strange idea. [11:45] Ravner Vonner : Fenrick barks not wanting to know how many lives he has as he looks at all of his pelts wanting to hunt with her sometime. [11:48] Audfrith : An idea seems to come to Audfrith from nowhere.   "I'll bet you would make a good hunting buddy for squirrels, little one."   She would have to remember to trip her fox traps that were close to the village. [11:49] Ravner Vonner : Fenrick barks and growls trying to look tough to her [11:49] Audfrith : "Ohhh, you're a tough one, aren't you, foxy?"   Audfrith bends down again to scratch his head and under his chin. [11:50] Ravner Vonner : Fenrick stops as he makes cute noises again and rolls around [11:51] Audfrith : The sight of the fox makes Audfrith laugh out loud, almost spilling her ale. [11:51] Ravner Vonner : Fenrick playfully paws at her feet [11:53] Audfrith : "Well, little one, I will get some more work done while I wait for customers," Audfrith says, pulling her large sewing needle and a pelt from her bag. [11:54] Ravner Vonner : Fenrick watches her wanting to see how she makes them. [12:47] Audfrith : Audfrith watches with amusement as the fox gets stuck in the snow head first, then turns a keen eye to the magnificent lady following him.  She continues to drink her ale casually. [12:54] Ravner Vonner : Fenrick and Zwei, bark and chirp at Ragnar missing him as they tackle him [12:55] Ragnar Thorhall looked down at the fox and his own dog,which he was a stray ,well at least until Ragnar had taken him in,barked back and bared his teeth at the fox" It's alright Bear" he said..."It's an old ...friend" and as if the dog knew he relaxed,but stayed watchful [12:56] Ravner Vonner : Fenrick and Zwei looked at the dog and barks at him, while Zwei smiled and chirps at him trying to be friendly [12:57] Audfrith : Audfrith stayed back as the familiar fox and the unfamiliar dog circled the man. [12:58] Ragnar Thorhall turned to look at the woman in the market,not recognizing her,he smiled"Greetins to ye" he said ,then turned his eyes back on Fenrick and zwei"what ye two troublemakers are up to?" he ask,but not really expecting an answer [12:59] Ravner Vonner : Zwei looks at Ragnar adn chirped at him, while Fenrick looks at the lady and barks at the nice lady [13:01] Audfrith : "Greetings, and good season to ye," Audfrith answered.  I am new in the area, hoping that you might have need of a tanner and pelt worker.  Would ye know who I should talk to?"   Audfrith asked, shaking snow from her own cape. [13:03] Ragnar Thorhall lifted his dark brows and looked her over,his eyes shaded from the helmet,then took it off ,wedging it under his arm and smiled"Tanner eh?....welcome to Skarvald   then,ye can call me Ragnar,I am te Merchant Master 'ere,if ye need a stall fer yer pelts ,I am te man te talk to" [13:04] Ravner Vonner : Fenrick ad Zwei sniff at the lady to say hello [13:05] Audfrith : Audfrith bent to pet the fox, if he would again approach her.   "Well, luck has me today, Merchant Master Ragnar.  I would indeed appreciate the space of a stall." [13:06] Ravner Vonner : Zwei pouts wanting petting too [13:10] Ragnar Thorhall nodded"If ye follow me I'll show ye...whats yer name Lass?" [13:10] Audfrith : Audfrith laughs as the dog also approaches, and she reaches out her hand to him.   "Is that a dragon, Merchant Master Ragnar?  I have heard of such animals, but I keen never to have seen one."   Audfrith eyed the flying wonder closely.. [13:12] Ravner Vonner : Zwei chirps and looks at the lady and poke at her as fenrick lays on the ground [13:13] Ragnar Thorhall looked at Zwei with a frown,then back to the potential tanner"II ken nay what it is,but was told its a souleater,ye best be careful then" he chuckled..."an'nothi but a nuisance" he added ,leading the way to the tanners stall [13:14] Ravner Vonner : Zwei looks at Ragnar and chirps annoyed at him not wanting to scare the new person as he hits him with her tail [13:14] Audfrith : "My name is Audfrith, Merchant Master Ragnar.  I have spent many years tracking and hunting in these wilds, but now think I am ready to find a home," Audfrith added, the ale going to her head. [13:16] Ragnar Thorhall: "I am glad te hear it Audfrith",then waved off,"Ragnar will do fine,ye nay hae te nay call me by title" he said reaching the stall. [13:17] Audfrith : Audfrith eyed the stall and nodded approvingly.   "This is a nice market," she said.   "I've not seen its equal in many a year."   She kept her eye on the soul-eater. [13:35] Lachlan Gael did not hesitate to drop the burlap sacks on the ground before ripping off his wolf headdress and cloak to hang up. He was burning up in the things after carrying it all the way here. And seeing the others around, he would be quick to set up his stall. Huffing some as he glanced toward the woman who shouldn't be far behind him. [13:36] Ragnar Thorhall smiled with pride and nodded "Aye....our Great King did nay spare coin te make it so,everything ye need ye will find'ere and if ye looking fer some exotic items,we sure can find it fer ye....fer a special price of course" he winked [13:38] Audfrith : Audfrith attempted her small smile.   "Should I pay ye now, Ragnar"?  She went towards her pouch with her right hand, but she was obviously already a little drunk, and almost poured out her ale. [13:42] Ragnar Thorhall held up his hand "Nay Lass,that won't be necessary, ye look to hae an honest face,I'll collect at te month end" he said"are ye alright?" he ask with a chuckle seeing her light tipsy state [13:43] Audfrith : "Hah, ja, I do believe so.  I have not for some time had the luxury of this grade of ale."   Her smile widened. [13:44] Ragnar Thorhall chuckled"Ye should try our Mead at the Hall...later we 'll hae a celebration there,so make sure ye can still walk Lass" he jested"if nay,I hae te haul ye over my shoulder in a nay so dignified way" [13:45] Alondia did scowl at Lach and even stuck her tongue out at him if he turned his back to her, "It wasn' the whiskey." She argued about her little incident this morning. Trying to look busy she picked up different slabs of meat, rearranging them and probably making more of a mess. [13:46] Audfrith : Audfrith laughed at the idea.   "Thank ye again, kind Ragnar.  It was a merchant who spoke to me about the celebration earlier who gave me the ale.  I would not normally do my business in such a way.  I do hope to be able to join the celebration."   At the sound of the commotion, Audfrith turned to see the other merchants coming in. [13:48] Ravner Vonner : "so syn what are you doing over here?" Ravner asked her as Zwei looked at the tent [13:48] Ragnar Thorhall: * Bear seemed to have enough from standing around and waged his tail,barking at Ragnar. Ragnar looked down at his new companion and grinned"Well run off then " he said making a motion with his hand....the Dog barked once more ,then left....disappearing quickly through the crowd...Ragnar knew he would turn u again soon as it was feeding time.He turned back to Audfrith and laughed"I neva leave te house without some mead first...Come,let me introduce ye to te others" [13:50] Ragnar Thorhall waved at Vixynne,then turned to the new Butcher"greetins to ye Butcher" he said"Hae ye met our new Tanner yet?"....pointing to Audfrith [13:51] Alondia sighed when Lach ordered her closer and she moodily dropped a lamb leg like an angrily teenager. She shuffled over to him and placed her hands on her hips. "I'm not gonna drop nothing." She told him with furrowed eyebrows. [13:51] Vixynne Ariantho gives Lord Ragnar a curtsey and a wave, then smiles to the new tanner.   "Well met, Lady," she welcomes her warmly.   "And a glad Yule, too." [13:52] Audfrith : Audfrith lowered her eyes at what seemed to be a family dispute.   "No, Ragnar, I have not yet met anyone.  Thank ye for the introduction."   Audfrith looked around at the busy market. She seemed surprised by all of the commotion. [13:52] Ravner Vonner : Ravner hands vixy some cider and puts the rest on his counter [13:53] Vixynne Ariantho takes the mug of cider gladly.   "Oh thank you, Ravner!  I've been eager to get my hands on this new batch, it smells wondrous."   She'd fish around in her hip pouch to pay him. [13:54] Audfrith : Audfrith turned to the kind woman, curtseyed awkwardly in response, as though it had been to her the woman had curtseyed in the first place, and returned the greeting.   "Yes, a glad Yule to you as well, Lady." [13:54] Ravner Vonner : "aya thank you vix," Ravner smiled at her as Zwei landed on Ravner's head [13:55] Lachlan Gael lull his head halfway toward Alondia, "Like ye dropped yer breakfast this morn?" He had to grin to it. He still thought it was from the whiskey and just had to pick on her lightweight. His attention moved back toward the opening to look over the other two, "Nay, don' believe I have." He would look Audfrith over, as if sizing her up. His eyes moving to any visible weapons. The man was definitely more tan than a typical viking, and the piercings covering his face didn't make his resting expression look anywhere near friendly. "Then ye'll be busy enough, I caped ah boar the other day." [13:57] Ragnar Thorhall gave Ravner a nod in greeting as well,then smiled to Vixynne "Aye,te market is filled wi' wares an' good merchants te sell it" he agreed. "This 'ere is our highly valued Oracle" he said to Audfrith and pointed to Vixynne,then looked back at Lach as he spoke" A Boar,fine meal.....I will let te barkeep ken ye hae Boar,he might put it on the menu" [13:58] Vixynne Ariantho steps a bit closer to the butcher's kiosk, looking at the variety of options, while trying to get a look at the young woman and make sure she is faring well in his keeping.   "Would you happen to have any good cuts of venison on hand, sir?  The temple's kitchen mistress makes a fine roast of deer-haunch when she can get it, and I'd like to reward the acolytes for their dedication to their studies with one of Mother Gudrun's best meals." [13:59] Ravner Vonner : Ravner adn Zwei nod back to him and stayed next to vix as Zwei landed on her head [13:59] Audfrith : "Greetings, Oracle.  I am pleased to meet ye."   Then turning back to the meat cutter, "Aye, there is good hunting in these woods, for sure," Audfrith said, before she could stop herself.   "I mean, there seems to be good hunting," she said again, bringing more question to her own activities in the woods already.   "Is there a Jarl fee here, when an animal is trapped or killed?"   she asked, seeming to be very interested in her ale. [14:00] Alondia groaned when he brought up her incident. "Will you shut up about it?" It definitely was not something she wanted to talk about here. Especially since it wasn't the whiskey. Since Alondia wasn't very social and was already starting to get anxiety, she looked over the new tanner with a distrustful look and then went to the chickens - the only thing alive at the butchers cart. Leaning down, she started to play with her little chick friends who would soon grace the tables of kings and pheasants alike. [14:00] Alleyne entered chat range (19.52 m). [14:01] Ravner Vonner : Zwei eepps as she lands on alleyne's head and nibbles on her ears happy to have her back [14:02] Vixynne Ariantho turns to see the Harbinger arrive in the market.   "Good day, and a blessed Yule to you, Alleyne!"   She reaches to give the bastet a quick hug. [14:03] Ragnar Thorhall looked at Audfrith and furrowed his brow"Nay te my knowledge an'doon be saying any te Balder or ye give 'im ideas" he grinned...then seeing Aylenne approach and greeted her with a big smile"Look who te cat dragged in" laughing about his own joke"T'is good te see ye again Thane" [14:03] Alleyne chuckles as she was barely stepping int the market and then assaulted by Zwei. Reaching up to scratch between her horns, she stepped up tot he crowd, waving with a smile and hugging Vix back "Thank you, Lady Vixynne. I wish you a good Yule as well, though I am afraid i am not too familiar with this time of year you celebrate". [14:05] Ragnar Thorhall: (oii, I butchered your name Alleyne)) [14:05] Ravner Vonner : Zwei licks her forhead, "its good to see everyone here at the market" Ravner smiled [14:05] Audfrith : Audfrith watched as the woman behind the meat cutter started to play with the chickens.  When Ragnar spoke to another newcomer, Audfrith looked up to take it in. Her eyebrows went up in surprise, and she leaned over to Ragnar and whispered, "Ragnar, what manner of people are those, with such colored skin and hair, and real horns on their heads instead of their helmets?" [14:06] Lachlan Gael 's brows actually rose in a bit of interest to the thought of it going on a menu, it isn't like he doesn't drink there far more than he should. "Aye, I'm fine with something ov that sort." As the priestess spoke, he crouched and pulled one of the boxes he just stocked to pull out a slab of meat. "Ov course, how much were ye thinkin' ov?" Taking the knife and bringing it to the meat, ready to line it up with around how much weight of meat she was looking to purchase. Speaking as he glanced to see what Alondia was doing, "Nay, the Jarl here is too kind fer his own good. Though the boars are brought to me by a Thane ov his, so those I wouldn't hunt without permission." Grinning some at Alondia's words. Though she saw him at work for once, more talkative and friendly than usual. Then again, it was his livelihood. At Ragnar's words and he would frown, "True,-" Everyone seemed to crowd to someone, making it hard to see them- besides a tail and something on their head. He would turn to Alondia, "Com'ere, I'll show ye how to cut properly." [14:06] Alleyne: "It has been a while, Lord Ragnar. I see you are doing fine and quite the lively one, still ! I hope things have been going good for you and Lady Grey, both in and out of the Mead Hall." [14:09] Vixynne Ariantho leans to take a look at the venison on offer.   "I'd say a good six or seven pounds, there are a good many mouths to feed between the two Temples," she muses.   "What price do you name for that much venison?" [14:09] Alondia playfully tossed some chicken feed to the chickens and laughed lightly watching them eat it, bobbing their heads up and down. When Lach called her over again she sighed and placed a couple fingers into the chicken cage to pet one of them on the head. Finally she'd stand and walk over, still finding a way to be mostly away from the crowd of people - yet still close enough to see what he was doing. Was she really going to have to start working in public? [14:10] Ragnar Thorhall 's heart was singing when he heard Audfriths question...he himself has had a hard time in the past getting used to the different races Skarvald drew. He turned to smile at her"Be at ease Tanner,those are good people,even if they look a bit ....odd" he said...pointing to Ravner"That there is Ravner ,our potion maker ...he's a Demon"...leaning to Audfrith to say in a low voice "or so he claims"...then   points at Alleyne"ova there is our very own new Harbinger"...leaning back to whisper"I hae nay clue what she is,but she'll pretect ye wi'her life" he assured her [14:11] Ravner Vonner : Ravner bows to Audfrith and glares at Ragnar "nice to meet you" Ravner said to her [14:12] Audfrith : Audfrith closed her open mouth as she stammered, "ummm good to meet you, Sire!"   Her eyes fell onto his horns and she seemed hypnotized. [14:13] Ragnar Thorhall just shrugged his wide shoulders at Ravners glare...then turned back at Audfrith with a mischievous grin and whispered"He is looking fer a new wife" [14:14] Alleyne flicked her ears at Ragnar's whispering,smirking "Why Ragnar ! I thought you'd recognise a cat when you see one.." She chuckled and swayed her tail "and their very fine sence of hearing" She added, flicking her ears as Zwei nibbled on them. Grinning she waled to the one she had never met before, and bowed her head "I am Alleyne, and indeed one of the Thanes of Skarvald, basically he knight defenders of the village." [14:15] Ravner Vonner : Zwei chirps on her head too and looking at the lady too [14:15] Ragnar Thorhall beamed at Alleyne with pride"I was a bit prejudice to'er as well when I saw 'er te first time,but she is damn fine fighter"...he said to Audfrith ,then to Alleyne"t'is good te hae ye back " [14:17] Audfrith : "Lady Alleyne, I am much pleased to meet you.  I am sure I will learn a lot here in Skarvald," Audfrith said. [14:17] Vixynne Ariantho grins at Alley's humor.   "She's been much missed, has our Harbinger. I had not met a bastet till my arrival in this land myself, Lady tanner--but if Alleyne is any indication, they are a people of great bravery and honor," Vixy nods. [14:18] Ravner Vonner : "i think Zwei missed her the most": Ravner chuckles as he took a drink of his cider, [14:18] Alleyne gave a hearty, slightly purring laugh "Much to learn indeed. But I believe, if the little i know about Yule is true, that it is more time for festivities than learning. Welcome amongst us, its both an honor and pleasure to have you living here in Skarvald." [14:19] Lachlan Gael looked down to the meat, "Depends on whot part ye woaunt, shoulders, ham, trimmings?" He thought for a moment at the weight, "4 silver fer 8 pounds about, an' I throw in some ov rib meat (enderloin) fer a far more enjoyable Yule meal, aye?" He went to demonstrate to Alondia where his fingers lay, stretching the flesh a little and a motion of cutting that came far too natural for him. "Yer not quartering, so this isn't the hard part. Just cut it...here, don't put too much pressure or ye'll take flavor out. Awlright?" He handed the knife over to Alondia to finish cutting the meat to make it easier for the Priestess to carry. [14:21] Audfrith : Audfrith's mouth moved to mirror the word, "bastet," as she continued to look around her in wonder.   "It is nice to have a home, after all of the time I have spent wandering," she nodded. [14:23] Vixynne Ariantho nods, "That will do very nicely, I thank you," she runs her fingers over the lock on her hip pouch and takes out the agreed-upon price.   "And this for your assistant," she sets a separate coin down for the young woman.   "She seems a quick study; one must feed ambitious learning lest it starve," Vixy chuckles. [14:24] Alleyne rolled eyes at the butcher's words, mumbling something about easier to just eat it raw..." This land truly became my home but a few weeks ago, truth be told. I too was seeking a place to live with my wife and daughter, and I finally found it here." [14:25] Alondia noticed the cat woman and smirked as she thought of something but kept it to herself. Turning her attention back to Lach, she kept her eyes on his fingers. If she did that, she wouldn't have to look anyone in the face and give them a reason to speak to her. When he handed her the knife, she looked up to him curiously. Back at home, he would never hand her a knife. After standing there and awkwardly not taking the knife for a good thirty seconds, she finally pulled it from his grasp. She placed two fingers on the meat like he did and cut it with her other hand before placing the knife back on the table and stepping back shyly. She didn't press too hard and was a quick learner. [14:27] Ravner Vonner : Ravner looks next to him at the lady, "is there something i can help you with?" Ravner asked her. [14:27]Duke Roger Phillips entered chat range (17.93 m). [14:28] Lumi turned to see [14:28] Vixynne Ariantho watches the young woman with interest.  She is indeed a quick study.   "I see I spent my coin well--use it for whatever you wish, Miss," she smiles.   "Your skill with a butchery-blade is admirable." [14:28]Duke Roger Phillips: *slowly trots his horse into the marketplace looking down at everyone* why is it none of you are in the meadhall drinking and eatting? i thought this was supposed to be a day of celebration and libation [14:29] Ravner Vonner : "i see you looking at my stall is there anything i can help you with?" Ravner asked her [14:30] Ragnar Thorhall still smiled at the nice conversation,then looked back over his shoulder when he heard Numair"Ahh ,the new Barkeep at te Meadhall,meet our new Tanner Audrith" he said,then nodded"We'll be there shortly...much more fun te talk in a warm place" he agreed [14:30] Lumi realizing now that he had been speaking to her she replied, "Oh I umm, no I was just looking, but you were in the mead hall last night?" [14:30] Lachlan Gael paused a moment as the woman was called his assistant, "Aye.." He looked to Alondia, "She has much to learn, but she's clever enough." He then went to wrap it in clean cloth, once before setting one out for her to wrap the rest. "Wrap these, well, twice over so it won't fall out while she travels. I'll cut the rest." The man would cut clean in nearly one motion of each slab. It would likely be a little more weight than she paid her. Crouching and he would take out a bag of smaller meats from the rib and hand it directly toward the priestess. "Have ah basket on ye? Or ye need a burlap sack to carry these round? We can also hold it fer ye to pick up later after the buyin' whotever else." [14:31] Ravner Vonner : "aya i was, if i remember i saw you there also" Ravner said to her looking at her seeing if she was a thief or not, [14:31] Alleyne chuckled "I find the weather quite agreeable, I must say." She gave a loopsided grin "But i won't mind if people prefer to go on inside." [14:33] Ravner Vonner : Zwei nibbles more on alleybe's ears [14:34] Lumi wanting to justify her long linger at his both she asked her question, "what are your wares? these are not perfume, or cooking what are these?" [14:34]Duke Roger Phillips: *looks down at audrith for a moment before sliding off my horse respectfully bowing before her* tis a pleasure to meet you my fair lady, and i am happy to hear that you have decided to join us in daily life in skarvald, as ragnar here has stated i am the barkeep at the meadhall, and possibly the finest ale and mead maker in the land [14:34]Duke Roger Phillips bows to the lady [14:34] Ravner Vonner : "they are potions, i do sell some perfume but mostly potions" Ravner said to her [14:35] Alondia looked up at the priestess with her violet/blue eyes when she complimented her but didn't say anything, She wasn't trying to be rude, she was just... anxiety stricken in public. To show she heard her, she nodded and stepped back even more. But then Lach asked her to wrap it. She worked quickly and cleanly. First wrapping the meat in a sort of parchment paper and then wrapping the two already wrapped pieces up again. Then she would tie them together with twine and start on the next pieces he cut. Always pushing the package to the edge of the table so she wouldn't have to look or touch the Priestesses hand. [14:36] Audfrith : Audfrith turned quickly around when the man on the horse showed up and began speaking.   "I am honored to meet you, Sire, and all of the others here.  I hope to be providing you with tanning services and furs and skins, as you may need them."   Audfrith's words were beginning to slur from the ale. [14:36] Ragnar Thorhall coughed at Numairs boasting,but he was agreeing silently...the man knew how to brew a good drink for sure."I hae a mind te get some readings,are any of yer priestesses available Oracle?" he ask Vixynne. [14:37]Duke Roger Phillips: well now that you mention it...i do happen to have need of a nice big cloak with a hood...my current furs are adequate...but i think something more covering would help stem off the cold a little better [14:38] Alleyne raised an eyebrow as she felt the human's words slurrying a bit. She decided to hang close, in case the new tanner flops down from her drinks, becoming her first catch of the day. [14:38] Ragnar Thorhall: ((hahahaha Alleyne)) [14:39] Vixynne Ariantho smiles, "If it's acceptable to you, I'll send a temple worker to pick it up later?  It's cold enough that I don't fear for its freshness, and I don't wish to inconvenience you by asking for delivery," she inclines her head in thanks to Alondia, noting the odd jangling energy that might appear to be an indication of nervousness.   "Blessings on you, young woman.  Freya herself seems to have blessed you with both beauty and a quick mind.  I can only pay you coin, but the Goddess has bestowed rich gifts already upon you," Vixy offers her a warm smile, trying to allay her anxiety. [14:40] Ravner Vonner : "sure what do you have to trade with?" Ravner asked her, as Zwei sniffed at her, [14:40] Audfrith : "I would be happy to make something up for ye.  I have a nice bear skin almost ready, or I always have squirrel and" -- she looked around briefly to see if the friendly fox was nearby -- "and usually some fox and wolf skins as well," she continued in a lower voice to him. [14:41] Lumi digs through her pockets and tussles around deep into her sleeves searching [14:41] Vixynne Ariantho: "Oh, aye, Lord Ragnar, there is a tent set up for the purpose just at the end of the main market aisle--the priestess Asha is there for runecastings, if any are interested!" [14:42] Lumi she lifts her hand showing a small necklaces made of silver [14:42]Duke Roger Phillips: i wouldn't mind some bear fur...would it be possible for you to make a hood that made it see that the bears head was still part of the fur by any chance?   i've seen several people in my travels with similiar designs of cloaks...and i have become rather fond of it myself [14:42] Ravner Vonner : "hhhmmmm nice, how much would you like for it?" [14:43] Alleyne pawed to the meat shop, smirking as she heard the tanner speak of squirrel fur. She amusedly thought of what could possibly be made of it without requiring an entire forest's worth of the little critters. Turning to the butcher, she would raise a finger to get his attention "Well met to thee. I would inquire how much it would be for just one pound of the elk meat ? " [14:43] Lumi looks up blankly, unprepared to answer [14:43]Duke Roger Phillips: oh ragnar, help yourself to a barrel of mead if you are heading up to the meadhall, they're stacked up against the wall there [14:44] Ravner Vonner : Ravner holds out three gold coins, "here if you think thats a good amount" [14:44] Audfrith : "Ah, sir, I have also seen such a cloak, but I do not have the head of this bear.  I will do my best to meet your order as soon as I can, though, sire," Audfrith said, draining the cup of ale and putting the horn away in the folds of her cloak. [14:44] Lumi smiles thinking it is quite a fair deal and wanting to end this moment never had traded before " yes yes that is fair" she places the necklace in his hand [14:44] Lachlan Gael looked over curiously at Alondia as she worked. Not just at how quiet she was, but at how well she wrapped the meat. Going to slide all the meat to him and crouching to find a clean crate. One without a pig's head in it. "That's fine. Tell her to give word that she comes for ye, so I don't think it a sly one tryin' to steal agin-" He quirked a brow at Alondia. "If fer some reason, no one is here before I leave- I'll bring it to the temple meself. It's on the way home, so it's no inconvenience." At the mention of Freya, he canted his head. Giving Alondia a second look. There was something about her, besides Tori, that reminded her of Freya in its own way. Actually, "Blessed her with an attitude too." Yup, that's what it reminded him of. [14:45] Ravner Vonner : Ravner hands her the three gold coins "so are you new here" Ravner asked her [14:46]Duke Roger Phillips: *bows my head in thanks* well i can't wait to see what you come up with [14:46]   'Andy' Aquene-Ayita followed the scent of others until she found herself walking down the enclosed area. She stopped, giving a soft huff quietly as she shifted on to one of her feet, then back to the other, looking around with her deep purple eyes for the being she helped earlier today [14:46] Lachlan Gael would add as he saw the cat like woman fully now, "One pound? 6 copper." [14:47]Duke Roger Phillips: *looks over seeing aquene arrive in the market. slowly i raise my hand and wave to her inviting her over* [14:47] Alondia pulled the packages of meat back with the Priestess said she wasn't going to take it right now. Upon hearing her kind words Alondia looked up , meeting her eyes. Although she didn't quite understand what gifts she had presently. She then looked to Lach to see if he had any idea. With a frown, she mumbled the smallest, quietest, shakiest "Thank you Ma'am." Before becoming silent once again. She slid the meat across the table to him watching as he found a clean crate. She wasn't starving anymore so there was a slim chance of her stealing. Even though she was a s pale as the snow outside she seemed healthier then when they first met. Even her hair was starting to grow out. But when he mentioned her attitude she glared at him. [14:47] Ravner Vonner : Ravner sniffed the air and looked over to smell another demon as he looks at her [14:48] Lumi whispers: "yes", a cold look comes over her face and she stares deep into nothingness but looks up "and thank you.,, now to the mead hall I can go " she starts to take make her way off , hoping to void telling to much more , [14:49] Ravner Vonner : Ravner looks at Lumi and nods his head, "you should stay a while" Ravner said to her and looked back at the other demon closely [14:49]   'Andy' Aquene-Ayita looked at the demon between her and her friend. Her back straightened up, though she was very small, her dragon half held a strong instinct of pride. She gave it a soft nod of her head as a greeting before casting her eyes about once again to observe the market setting [14:51] Ravner Vonner : Ravner nods back at her as Zwei chirps at her too and waves   with ehr tail [14:52] Audfrith : "I would like to see this mead hall as well, before I leave to make my way back to camp," Audfrith said to anyone and no one.  The cold seemed to revive her   noticeably, and she stamped her feet a bit. [14:52] Lumi watches Ravner with Zwei and notices his kindness to the creature [14:53] Vixynne Ariantho makes a mental note of the girl's appearance, though she doesn't appear to be abused or starving to death, there is much to be desired before she might be described as being "aglow with health".  Whether to address it?  Bah.  Vixy wouldn't be deterred by much this side of the Bifrost.  How to address it--now THAT would take thought.   "The Temple remembers you," she murmurs kindly, looking into the girl's eyes for a brief moment, not wishing to spook her.   "Friends of the Temple are never forgotten."   She gives Lachlan a smile.   "Perhaps, if the apprentice works well, you might allow her some revelry?  My initiate Asha would be happy to read cards or runes for your entertainment, Miss," she addresses them in turn, gesturing toward the colorful silk tent at the opposite end of the Market. [14:53]Duke Roger Phillips: *looks to audrith and chickles* well as a yule gift to everyone, i've prepared mead and ales, if you're hading up there grab yourself a barrel to take home with you, any enjoy...it's the finest you'll find in this part of the world...according to the king himself of course [14:53]   'Andy' Aquene-Ayita stayed calm in the crowded setting, though secretly she debated returning back to an unpopulated area, or flying off to find some livestock. Her wings folded neatly, extended for a quick moment to brush the snow off them. She adjusted the fur draped over her shoulders. Demons aren't owned. They dont need to be tamed" She looked around, "Better to be wild in dangerous areas, anyway" [15:04]Duke Roger Phillips: *reaches into my sack and tosses a snack for Zwei into the air* aye she is a bit wild..also she's not used to large crowds...so take it easy on her alright? [15:04] Lachlan Gael looked up a little, then back toward Alondia. Brows furrowed at the idea of such a thing as runereadings. He seemed to be thinking something over and over in his head before finally speaking. "I'd imagine it'd amuse her at the least." He lulled his head to see the apprentice better, "Why....would ye?" He looked to the cat woman. If she did accept the 6 copper for a pound and he would be quick in cutting and handing it to Alondia to tie. [15:05] Lumi holds her hands over the flames in turn, and from the corner of her eye watching the busy marketplace. All unfamiliar and new to her. She frequently come back to the high priestess. Looking over her fine gown with golden thread. Then back down into the fire. [15:05] Ravner Vonner : Ravner nodded his head, "i like her mood," Ravner smirked as Zwei eats her snack and licks his face [15:05]Duke Roger Phillips: aye...i think in time you two will become good friends...as long as she doesn't try to eat you ravner *chuckles* [15:05] Audfrith : Audfrith seemed hesitant to turn her back on so many demons and other strangers, but she was not hesitant in her decision to leave the market and get back to her camp.  She quietly made her good nights, nodding to those she could not speak personally to.
